Hanabi Hyūga (日向ハナビ, Hyūga Hanabi) is a kunoichi from Konoha and Heiress of the Hyūga Clan. She's considered a prodigy and favored by her father Hiashi Hyūga to lead their clan instead of her older sister, Hinata. During the years Hiashi gave Hanabi preferential treatment, favoring her training over Hinata's. His influence allowed Hanabi to be part of the team negotiating the alliance with Kumo. A political play to improve her standing, and his cause. Hiashi's maneuvers, to enforce his will, forced Hinata to take a stand. She challenged Hanabi for the position of Heiress. In two years Hanabi and Hinata will face each other on a contest of the gentle fist, for the right to be the next Hyūga leader. Recently Hiashi petitioned Kiyomi to let Hanabi join the Women's Bathing Association, believing that the group is behind Hinata's sudden rise, unaware of the group real purpose. Hinata and The Family agreed to have Hanabi join the association, a place where she can be herself, free of her father's games.
